Frequently Asked Questions:
What size / model should I buy?
- Great question! Don't buy this. Actually, you can't buy this — it's an April Fools’ joke. You know what else is a joke? Training wheels. Training wheels often result in a “one step forward, three steps back” approach to learning how to ride a bike. Without learning how to balance first, progressing past training wheels is a long hard road peppered with frustration for both you and your little rider. Skip the training wheels and stick to the “fun”-damentals instead.
How do I assemble my Strider Training Wheel?
- It's easy! There are no tools or assembly required to build a product that doesn’t exist. We’ll never offer Strider training wheels (this large or otherwise) because we know they don’t help kids. Happy, confident, and successful riders come from Strider Balance Bikes.
Seriously though, why shouldn't I use training wheels on my child's bike?
- Training wheels create a false sense of security. They’re often unstable and are meant to never touch the ground at the same time, causing a child to tilt to one side or the other to feel stable. Even worse, when a child is ready to transition from training wheels to a pedal bike, they have to go back to square one and learn balance. Balance is the most important skill for riding a bike and pedaling is the easy part after that! Click here to learn more.
